At the end of last year we travelled to Somerset for a project with sustainable self-care brand Commune, bringing concepts to life for the launch of their first store in Bruton. 

Commune’s ethos and approach to production centres around nature. They don’t use synthetic scents in any of their formulas and wanted something in their store that reflected this alliance with the natural world.

They got in touch with an idea for four bespoke Terrariums, each a 55cm glass cube - to represent the four seasons, areas of Somerset and, in time, four of their scents. 

We wanted each Terrarium to be unique but linked with common themes of mosses, ferns and bark. Taking into account the lighting in the store and placement of the terrariums we spent the day arranging and planting these 4 beautiful cubes. the end result was both considered, wild and I am so looking forward to heading back in a few months to see how they have all grown.
