A low vase inspired by the shape and texture of a seed, mouth-blown from 100% recycled glass.

The vase has a curved profile, domed base and tactile surface texture, finished with an undulating rippled rim. Mouth blown from 100% recycled glass – a circular material, representing the life cycle of seeds and the regenerative process of nature. Designed for wildflowers, grasses and foliage.

Material

The vase is mouth blown from 100% recycled glass, a circular material. Locally-sourced clear jars and bottles are sorted, crushed and heated in the furnace until molten. The gather of glass is placed in a pre-mould to imprint the texture. It is then placed in a wooden mould in the shape of each seed vase and blown to size. The rim is melted with the texture, creating a wavy finish, before being annealed. The use of handmade techniques creates subtle variations between vases and ensures each has its own character. Air bubbles will occur as part of this 100% recycled and handmade process.

All our terrariums are planted by hand in our London Terrariums studio on Bethnal Green Road. We hand select all the plants and carefully plant and landscape to suit the glass vessel ensuring every terrarium is unique.

We will hand-select the best terrariums for you when you buy online, or pop into store to choose your own terrarium.
