Plantation 2

Created by designer Alicja Patanowska, Plantation is a series of porcelain elements designed for growing herbs and ornamental plants using the principles of hydroponics.

Fill a standard glass with water, top with your Plantation shape 2 then you're ready to pick your plant, potato or Avocado pip to start growing and propagating.

Alicja was inspired to develop the series as part of her Royal College of Art MA, after observing the many discarded glasses left outside pubs and bars in London. She wanted to design a functional object that would make use of any standard unwanted glass transforming it into a lens through which to view the growing process of plants.

The product is the porcelain only, no glass. The idea under Plantation is to upcycle old glasses.
